Chapter 0: Author's Introduction to Judge Not

Judge Not is the sequel to the very popular series, Groundhog Nights , and follows the point of view of fifteen-year old Tera as she navigates through confusing events and a sexual relationship with her father, Quinn. Something is coming for Tera, but she has no idea what is going on.

If you, the reader, are unwilling or unable to read about preteen and teen sexuality, incest, and other controversial and possibly troubling concepts, or you don't feel you wish to challenge some of your thoughts on these subjects, please read no further: You likely won't enjoy this story and there are thousands upon thousands of other stories out there which contain subject matter you'll enjoy much more.

Still here? Great! As the author of these stories, I want to reinforce to the reader that this is all fantasy. Many of the negative and otherwise damaging consequences of the acts herein are never encountered by the characters as they would be in reality. I generally enjoy reading, and writing, stories in which the participants struggle with conflicting emotions about the events within and then find ways to enjoy and grow strong from what they have experienced.

This story comes about for two reasons: I really loved writing about Quinn and Tera and their unique situation; and, so many readers reached out to me with requests to read more about their favorite coppery-orange redhead teen. Plus, I had, all through Groundhog Nights, a bigger story to tell but couldn't reveal anything while the time loop was still in place. Here is where things start to get weird.

My standard note of caution: Don't mistake this for anyone's reality. In the real world, many of the events that follow would probably lead to physical and mental illnesses, unhealthy fixations and addictions, abuse, trauma, and/or prison time for participants. In this fantasy, however, events are allowed to progress without encountering those vastly more realistic outcomes and tragedies.

Judge Not is told from the perspective of Tera, beginning in the moments which followed the intense and life-changing intercourse she shared with her father, Quinn. Her virginity given to him in the night, the next day finds Tera beginning to experience odd sensations, vivid dreams, and doubts and fears about reality. It is a different story from Groundhog Nights. The myopic scope of the original bursts into color and place and time to offer a generous, broad landscape where Tera and her father must figure out what is going on. Quinn's time loop is one of the clues, but it is only a small one in a much bigger drama playing out across the Universe.

Where Groundhog Nights was a small-scale, sci-fi-esque erotic incest story, Judge Not is more of a fantastical Wonderland full of magical sexual situations. This one's more bizarre than the original, more like a fun house mirror has been applied to the story.

One final thing: Judge Not and it's predecessor share a story universe with another series. Clues in later chapters will begin to bridges. I'll let readers try to figure it out.
